Fancy Pants.

Welcome to the new blog! What do you think? All I have to say is, Danielle Burkleo and Mary Hess for PRESIDENT. [Yes, both of them.] Danielle and Mary are the elves responsible for the renovation around here, and were absolute GEMS that answered my myriad of questions with the patience of ten Mother Teresas. [To put this in context, let’s all jump back to yesteryear and remember that fateful day that I purchased my very first smarter-than-me phone. THAT. THAT TIMES INFINITY.] May God grant them many paper bags to breathe into at night and oceans of Merlot to help them blot my name from their memories. Amen.

In unrelated news, last week, Red Letter Christian published a piece that I wrote. In one of the more wildly unexpected twists of my life, it was then picked up by The Mennonite World Review. Y’ALL. I CAN DIE NOW. If you’d like to read what the Mennonites are reading, you can find my thoughts on compassion fatigue here.

Happy Monday, friends!

  1. You’re so cute. I’ll take the Merlot, but not to forget you. It was an absolute pleasure working with you. x

  2. Wow, I loved the post. (And Mennonites are pretty awesome as a general rule, in my experience.)

Beautiful new blog! What’s the font your name is in? I love it.

I actually have no idea what the font is–I had almost zero to do with the design! I’ll let you know if I find out. :)

YES to Mennonites being pretty awesome. I just never expected them to publish me! ;)

Would LOVE to come to Oregon. In the meantime, come HERE!
